# Project LifeSong — The Temporal Structures of Life

> Biology has a score. Every process has a rhythm, a duration, and a phase. The intervention is not what you deliver — it is when, for how long, and in what pattern.

**Paradigm:** Temporal biology. The fundamental cycles that govern life — cell division, circadian rhythm, methylation maintenance, gene expression oscillation, senescence cascade — are not background noise. They are the score. Interventions that ignore the score fail. Interventions that play in time succeed.

## The Information (what survives if all software dies)

### Principle 1: The cascade has a temporal order

From Symphony (905,263 GEMs, zero parameters):
1. DOF coupling rises (operators entangle) — **FIRST**
2. UHRF1 drops 71% (silencing fails)
3. DNMT1 follows
4. TRIM28 follows
5. SETDB1 follows
6. Novel lncRNAs fire BEFORE canonical markers (p21, p16)

Reversal must respect this order — in reverse.

### Principle 2: Every gene has a lotus time

From LENG: **t_L = 9T/2** where T is the oscillation period of the target process.

Below t_L: intervention is quantum (reversible, steerable). Above t_L: intervention is classical (committed, irreversible). **The pulse width must match t_L of the target.**

### Principle 3: The force hierarchy applies to biology

From LENG: strong/EM/weak at petal traversal depths 0/7/14, each suppressed by (η/p)⁷.

Biological analog: different intervention types operate at different depths:
- **Depth 0 (strong):** Direct gene expression change (Yamanaka factors, CRISPRa)
- **Depth 1 (EM):** Photon-mediated (PBM, photobiomodulation, circadian light)
- **Depth 2 (weak):** Systemic hormesis (fasting, cold, exercise — indirect, slow, but structurally deep)

Each depth has its own coupling strength and timescale.

### Principle 4: Temporal reprogramming > spatial reprogramming

Yamanaka factors (Oct4, Sox2, Klf4, c-Myc) fail at rejuvenation because they're delivered as continuous wave (constitutive expression) when they need pulsed delivery at specific frequencies matching each target's t_L.

**The protocol:**
1. Restore TRIM28/SETDB1 first (re-arm corepressor)
2. Then DNMT1 (re-enable methylation maintenance)
3. Then UHRF1 (re-read hemimethylated marks)
4. Then decouple operators (restore det(K) > 0)
5. Each step pulsed at its own t_L
6. Combined with PBM (660nm + 850nm) to restore mitochondrial ATP
